Grace Force Podcast Episode 100: The Mass: Old Rite, New Rite – How Do We Move Forward?
The Mass: Old Rite, New Rite – How Do We Move Forward?
The July 16 motu proprio, Traditionis custodes (“Guardians of the tradition”), restricts the use of the Traditional Latin Mass and prohibits it from being celebrated in “parochial churches.” It states that it is each bishop’s “exclusive competence” to authorize the use of the Latin Mass in his diocese according to the 1962 Roman Missal. Bishops across the U.S. have granted permission for the Traditional Latin Mass to continue in their dioceses while they study the document and determine how to proceed.
For the moment, we all seem like “deer in headlights.”
In this podcast, Doug and Father refrain from righteous anger and, instead, look to some realistic possibilities, going forward. We wanted to face the reality that the faithful are hungry; they are hungry for a sense of the transcendent.
Please join us as we do our best to answer the question, “How do we move forward?”

Papal Posse’s Take Very similar to Ours
We’ve added this episode (below) of EWTN’s Papal Posse which aired the night after our podcast. You’ll notice their take is very similar to ours. Especially note their call to bring the Novus Order back to its original form, prior to the many innovations that were added, that the Vatican documents never called for.
Also, note Fr. Joseph Fessio’s 2005 article: The Mass of Vatican II

Hello and welcome to the United States Grace Force Podcast!
If you are here than you know about the dangers the Catholic Church faces that our Blessed Mother warned us about and that threaten to corrupt our society.
Our mission here is simple. Bring awareness to these issues and do battle against them.
God commands us to take up arms against the demons that plague us daily. We are in a spiritual battle for our souls and we must not be caught being idle.
If you feel so inclined, you can donate a small amount monthly to help keep us going. Whatever you are able to give would help us greatly to spread this message to more people and recruit spiritual warriors for the fight!
