Pulling Out the Stops – Our Lady of Sorrows Devotion + Sacred Heart Novena

Sept. 15 – Sept. 23: Our Lady of Sorrows Devotion + Sacred Heart Novena

We’re a novena of days away from the 4th anniversary birth of a child in the 2016-2017 Revelation 12 sign … November 20, 2016 – September 23, 2017 (See HERE[1]).

In reading on in Revelation 12 (See HERE[2]), we see that war then broke out in heaven and the dragon was “not strong enough.” This would be the period beyond the 100 years when Satan was granted a “greater strength” (1917-2017).

So, continuing to read, we see he was hurdled down to earth (exposed?) where he “waged war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus” … the devout.

Hello? It is the “devout” who are being brutalized, shamed and marginalized in this period we are in now. See the persecution of priests who emphasize the supernatural. See the censorship of orthodox teaching. See restrictions on the Traditional Latin Mass. See the resurgence of control by “progressive bishops” in the past few years, and the silence of “the rest.”

Yet, I don’t know if anyone else is seeing what I am seeing. Whether in the Church or the culture, it seems we are in a period of a very mad and aggressive devil who is over-reaching and, thereby, being exposed.

Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. It is interesting that the exorcist, Fr. Chad Ripperger, sees incredible power in the Seven Sorrows Devotion. Especially in its power to “reveal secrets” (expose) and the “conversion of family members by blocking demons” (See HERE[3]). We’ll come back to this, shortly.

What about September 23? This is the feast of St. Padre Pio. It just so happens that the “go-to” prayer for Padre Pio, when asked for his intercession, was Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque’s “Sacred Heart Novena” prayer. Thousands of miracles are attributed to St. Padre Pio. Are we being directed to pray this particular prayer?

It is more than interesting that, in August 1931, Our Lord appeared to Sr. Lucy and He complained the requests of His mother had not been heeded saying, “Make it known to My ministers, given that they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My command, they will follow him into misfortune. It is never too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary.”

The reference to the King of France is an explicit reference to the requests of the Sacred Heart given through Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque on June 17, 1689 to the King of France. King Louis XIV and his successors failed to heed Our Lord’s request to publicly consecrate France to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. As a result, on June 17, 1789, one hundred years to the day after the request, the National Assembly of the French Revolution rose up and declared itself the government of France and stripped the king of his power. Later, the king lost his head to the revolution.

As I said, we are a novena of days away from the 4th anniversary birth of a child in the 2016-2017 Revelation 12 sign … November 20, 2016 – September 23, 2017. I don’t know if any of this matters, but I am feeling that evil is being exposed RIGHT NOW, and I compelled to “expedite the exposing” by calling out to Our Lady of Sorrows as we pray Padre Pio’s VERY efficacious go-to prayer, The Sacred Heart Novena.

 

So, here is how we incorporate the Seven Sorrows Devotion and the Sacred Heart Novena …

Each day, meditate on one of the Seven Sorrows of Mary, followed by a Hail Mary and then the Sacred Heart Novena prayer (See petition below):

SEVEN SORROWS

Day 1 (Sept. 15) – The prophecy of Simeon. (St. Luke 2:34, 35). Pray Hail Mary.
Day 2 (Sept. 16) – The flight into Egypt. (St. Matthew 2:13, 14). Pray Hail Mary.
Day 3 (Sept. 17) – The loss of the Child Jesus in the temple. (St. Luke 2: 43-45). Pray Hail Mary.
Day 4 (Sept. 18) – The meeting of Jesus and Mary on the Way of the Cross. Pray Hail Mary.
Day 5 (Sept. 19) – The Crucifixion. Pray Hail Mary.
Day 6 (Sept. 20) – The taking down of the Body of Jesus from the Cross. Pray Hail Mary.
Day 7 (Sept. 21) – The burial of Jesus. Pray Hail Mary.
Day 8 (Sept. 22) – Only Sacred Heart Novena
Day 9 (Sept. 23) – Only Sacred Heart Novena

PADRE PIO’S SACRED HEART NOVENA PRAYER

O my Jesus, You have said: “Truly I say to you, ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.” Behold I knock, I seek Our Lady of Sorrows, by your powerful intercession, we ask that what is hidden may be revealed, and we pray for the Protection of and Provision for the Church, our Nation, and especially any family members who have strayed from the faith. Our Father … Hail Mary … Glory Be … Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.

O my Jesus, You have said: “Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in My name, He will give it to you.” Behold, in Your name, I ask Our Lady of Sorrows, by your powerful intercession, we ask that what is hidden may be revealed, and we pray for the Protection of and Provision for the Church, our Nation, and especially any family members who have strayed from the faith. Our Father … Hail Mary … Glory Be … Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.

O my Jesus, You have said: “Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away but My words will not pass away.” Encouraged by Your infallible words I now ask Our Lady of Sorrows, by your powerful intercession, we ask that what is hidden may be revealed, and we pray for the Protection of and Provision for the Church, our Nation, and especially any family members who have strayed from the faith. Our Father … Hail Mary … Glory Be … Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of You, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Your tender Mother and ours.

Say the Hail, Holy Queen and add: “St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us.”
