40 Days for America – “Forty More Days and Nineveh/America Will Be Overthrown”
It’s Now or Never!
September 25 marks 40 days until the Presidential election. Everything but the kitchen sink has been thrown at this administration – AND US – by the radical secular Left, in order to gain power; in order to overthrow America. Listen, we are one judge away from recovering our former selves … a culture of life. OR! … we will be thrown into many generations more of the most heinous holocaust in all of civilization. Add to this, our religious liberties will be stripped from us; our ability to protect ourselves will be taken away; marriage and family will be gone and forgotten; minorities will be kept in poverty to keep them “dependent” on the Left; we will live in fear as we are forced to do the unthinkable. We will be overthrown. Literally, we are on the verge of a civil war!!
I received confirmation on this most necessary time for full-on INTENSE prayer and fasting, as I connected the dots and realized September 25 is also the day my mother passed to eternal life. Many may have read of the September 6 “Miracle of the Two Junes” (See HERE) that I took as God saying “Pay Attention Here!” So, you can see, I MUST do these 40 Days of intense prayer and fasting! Why 40 days for America?
Recall the story of Nineveh in the Book of Jonah …
Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.”
Jonah obeyed the word of the Lord and went to Nineveh. Now Nineveh was a very large city; it took three days to go through it. Jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.
When Jonah’s warning reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust. This is the proclamation he issued in Nineveh:
“By the decree of the king and his nobles:
Do not let people or animals, herds or flocks, taste anything; do not let them eat or drink. But let people and animals be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence. 9 Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish.”
When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened (Jonah 3:3-10)
IT’S TIME FOR US TO DO THE “NINEVEH THING!”
40 Days for America – Seven Elements
- For these 40 days, resolve to let go of repetitive sin you struggle with (e.g., masturbation, over-eating, alcohol, etc.)
- Wear Brown Scapular (Scapular Medal allowed) – Akin to Sackcloth
- Confession (at least once a month … immediately following grave sin)
- Join the United States Grace Force
- Daily Prayer (All prayers are found in the US Grace Force Prayer Book)
- Morning Offering
- Angelus (6am,Noon,6pm)
- Rosary
- Auxilium Christianorum Prayers
- Holy Hour (or at least 20 minutes)
- Bedtime Prayers
- For 40 Days, Commit to …
- Intermittent Fasting (allow one period of time each day for eating, if health allows)
- Regular and challenging exercise (this may be one of the greater challenges for many)
- Ask the Holy Spirit how your time, talent and/or treasure may be used during these 40 days
- Seven hours of sleep is essential
- No alcohol
- No desserts & sweets
- No eating between meals
- No soda or sweetened drinks
- No television or movies (news allowed, and even encouraged)
- Only music that lifts the soul to God
- No televised sports (this has been made easier for us)
- Engage in all prayer campaigns prescribed by the US Grace Force.
