Day 15 – Heavenly Christmas Novena

Day 15 – Heavenly Christmas Novena

DAY 15 – VIRGIN MOST PRUDENT, PRAY THAT WE RECEIVE THE GIFT OF FEAR OF THE LORD!

SAINTS’ WORDS

“For I have learnt for a fact that nothing so effectively obtains, retains, and regains grace, as that we should always be found not high-minded before God, but filled with holy fear.” -St. Bernard

“We must fear God out of love, not love him out of fear.” -St. Francis de Sales

I agree (and I pray you do too) with Pope St. Gregory the Great who, wanting to capture the spiritual dynamism of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, posited the following order: “Through the fear of the Lord, we rise to piety, from piety then to knowledge, from knowledge we derive strength, from strength counsel, with counsel we move toward understanding, and with intelligence toward wisdom and thus, by the sevenfold grace of the Spirit, there opens to us at the end of the ascent the entrance to the life of Heaven” -Pope St. Gregory the Great. As you can see, the entry point (Gateway) into the Divine Life is “Fear of the Lord” (If you want Gifts 2-6, you need to pass through Gift #1).

DAY 15 – HEAVENLY CHRISTMAS NOVENA

Let’s give the gift of Heaven and continue building our Holy Alliance! Also, let’s pray in the most efficacious way for those in need here on earth!

We are now using Sections One & Two of your Strength & Alliance Field Manual.

Also, remember to pray your daily rosary today, as we ask Our Lady for her intercession that we have the resolve to hang tough and press on throughout these 54 days. These 54 days are about learning and solidifying these very powerful spiritual practices in our lives. Satan does not want you spiritually strong, united and disciplined, so brush off all of the excuses he plants in your head and stand firm.

SECTION #1 (Begins on page 28):  Continue building your Holy Alliance as you pray with another Saint to obtain a Plenary (Partial) Indulgence for another Holy Soul in Purgatory.

SECTION #2 (Begins on page 74):

STEP ONE: Write the name of the person who needs a special prayer in the “Comrade in Need” column.

STEP TWO: Write your specific prayer request for them in the “Prayer Request” column.

STEP THREE: Pray the Efficacious “Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus” (pg. 72) and place a check next to “Pio Prayer.”

STEP FOUR: After some time has passed, write how God answered the prayer in the “Glory Report” column. Always keep in mind that God knows best what is needed in a given situation to fulfill our ultimate goal of being with Him in heaven.
